Rebecca Bayer combines ecological awareness with sensory experience, transforming familiar environments into places of connection and curiosity. Her work fosters pause, play, and social engagement while deepening relationships with the natural world.
Bayer’s installations have been commissioned by municipalities, health institutions, transit authorities, and private developers. Media features include CBC Radio, Canadian Architect, Designboom, and Domus. She has also contributed to public dialogues through panels, lectures, and publications on interdisciplinary practice and urban design.
Rebecca holds a Master of Architecture from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Fine Art from Central Saint Martins UAL, and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Queen’s University. She teaches at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
