Rebecca Bayer’s interdisciplinary practice reflects on spatial connections between people and place through drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. Educated in Fine Art and Architecture, Rebecca holds a BFA (Queen's University), MA Fine Art (Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London), and M.Arch (University of British Columbia).
She has completed multiple public art projects locally and nationally. Some recent works include MERGE, Hwy#1, North Vancouver BC (2022), Maple Ridge Community Mosaic, Maple Ridge BC (2020), The Whole Is Greater Than The Sum Of Its Parts, Sherbourne Subway Station, Toronto ON (2018), and Calder Community Mosaic, Edmonton AB (2018).
Rebecca lives in Vancouver BC on the traditional unceded territory of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations. She teaches at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and is the Director of Spacemakeplace Design.
